Great again..but I still don’t think this album (although still solid) was up to par with the hype(imo)…and it gave way to ‘hiphop is dead’ bs…I still hate everybody who had ever said that seriously..I hope u get eff’d in the a…but they may like it…no pause necessary

  • Iron Butterfly > Incredible Bongo Band.

There’s nothing like the ORIGINAL original. I mean that shit was like the culminating symbol of an entire era. Damn. It almost deserves a moment of silence or something. Or a nap after you actually listen to the whole damn thing.

I always found it interesting though how Nas so blatantly sampled the same song for both “Hip Hop is Dead” AND “Thief’s Theme” as if we hadn’t heard it before from him…oh well. I guess it worked.

I’m ranting in your comments. HA. Thanks for the distraction from my work once again.

    the file had a virus : /

    whats goin on?

  • no virus. i dl and checked.

  • Yea Amanda … I just went with direct samples. I didn’t bother going further into it haha. But I totally agree. I was highly annoyed that he used the same sample in both his SINGLES … it wouldn’t have been AS bad if it were on just two tracks but c’mon. His main singles?!?! Eff that.

    Hov >>> Nas

    which virus checker u use?

    nas > jay btw

  • c.o.b.

  • Hm, I’m weird on Jay-Z. I mean…OK he has talent but…something about the guy himself makes me wonder.

So…for me anyway, Nas > Jay. Although maybe that’s just my bias towards Queensbridge shit coming out to play.

If you ever want that full Iron Butterfly version though, I got you…

  • You know you’re talkin to Messiah Shake. haha … thanks though!

And eff all of you … Hova >> Esco. It’s true. And whose COB … I take it you from the Dynasty Boards. Don’t hide behind the moniker, show yourself! Man I need sleep.
