What’s in the Tapedeck v.12 (03.26.08)

blame it on Shake March 27, 2008

I’ve got some projects to wrap up so I figured I’d hit ya’ll with another edition of What’s in the Tapedeck before I become a ghost on these here internets. On deck we have some new Young Chris, Custom Made, some funky fresh joints from Plantlife, a hidden AZ track off Undeniable, another Crooked I guest spot, a Day 26 remix with the Fat Elephant and Rawsss, some unreleased Dogg Pound featuring Busta Rhymes, Tyga featuring Lil Wayne, new Mack 10 featuring G Malone & Red Cafe, a dope Joe Budden remix and much much more. You know how us dopeboyz roll.

Plantlife – Sun Shines Through Your Love [or zShare]
It’s hard to explain the genre that the Decon Records group brings to the table. Think of a mix of a little bit of hip hop, some funk, rock and r&b. Jack Splash (the singer) has quite the track record… lending his production hand for Alicia Keys As I Am, John Legend’s Once Again. This year he’s noted to be on upcoming albums from Estelle, Missy, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson and more. Also, look out for the highly anticipated (atleast by Shake) partnering with Cee-Lo (Goodie Mob/Gnarls Barkley).

Plantlife – Time Traveller [or zShare]
Possibly my favorite joint off their upcoming album. Jack Splash has done it all. He was here when it all began, he made the whole planet rock with Afrika Bam. He had Melle Mel’s back when he was by the edge. He used to wear the big suits with the Talking Heads. He told AC/DC to come back in black. He was with Dre/Snoop back in the day. He told Jive to free the Clipse. And much more, the man is a genius!

Plantlife – Fool For U [or zShare]
One more joint off their upcoming Time Traveller album through Decon Records.

Kontroversy Committee – Sounds Like Money f. Crooked I [or zShare]
Crooked I continues to slay everything he gets on. This time he jumps on a pretty hot track by KC. Those looking for the last Hip Hop Weekly, be patient … you are in for a huge treat!

Joe Budden – Send Him Our Love (Santo Angelo Remix) [or zShare]
A very dope remix to Joe’s touching song for Stack Bundles. Peep the Rick James sample. And be on the look out for more production from SA on an upcoming U-N-I project. Canada aye!?

Marcus D – I Shine f. Royce Da 5’9″, Justis & Kid Vicious [or zShare]
I’ll admit, I’m ignorant as shit to Marcus D’s music. This song could be like 4 years ago and I wouldn’t know. I swooped on it from WeDoItRight and never heard it, thought it was dope and figured I’d post. Why not right? You can also check out that link for an interview on dude.

J “8 Months” Lewis – Winter in America f. Kay, Donwil & Jawwaadd [or zShare]
A great track from… *takes breathe* J Lewis (of Neon Collars) featuring Kay (of The Foundation), Donwill (of Tanya Morgan) and Jawwaadd (of Shape of Broad Minds) …*exhales. Shouts to FWMJ, even though I totally debo’d him for it haha.

Young Chris – Rewind Freestyle [or zShare]
Chris remains one of the hardest working artists in hip hop right now. I hope he gets a great push for the upcoming solo album. Check him over Nas’ Rewind.

Young Chris – You Gotta Live [or zShare]
I’m telling you. Grindin! I swear everytime I put up a Tapdeck post, there are always atleast 2 tracks from Chris haha.

J.A.M.E.S. Watts. – Two Minute Warm Up pt.2 [or zShare]
After posting the latest leak from Mickey Factz (featuring Watts) I got an email from dude with a new joint. I told him I’d check it and if I thought it was cool I’d post it. Well… it’s posted. Check for more of him on the MySpace.

Tyga – Coconut Juice f. Travis McCoy (of Gym Class Heroes) [or zShare]
Tyga is readying the release of his debut album, No Introduction (July 10th). I first heard him on that ridiculous This Ain’t a Scene (rmx) with Fall Out Boy, Kanye, Wayne, etc, etc, etc and been curious ever since. This is the first single… interesting approach.

Tyga – Exquisite f. Lil Wayne & Gata [or zShare]
More from Tyga (Decaydance/Young Money Ent). After meeting, Tyga and Weezy became good friends and now he’ll most likely be a feature on the highly anticipated Carter 3.

AZ – Undeniable Hidden Track [or zShare]
So I was playing my copy of Undeniable and after the video edit version of Hardest Out with Styles P this little gem starts playing. Stop playin AZ!

Tha Dogg Pound – What Cha Want f. Busta Rhymes [or zShare]
From hidden to unreleased. Check out this never before released cut from Daz & Kurupt featuring Busta.

AC – New Soul [or zShare]
Another dude that seems to be in all the Tapedeck posts (and for good reason), AC drops some more fire for the street. Phenom & J Glaze on the beat, sampling the original song from Yael Naim (Meka you have this on the PC?).

Day 26 – Got Me Going (rmx) f. Fat Joe & Rick Ross [or zShare]
Diddy’s new 112, Jagged Edge, Day 26 grab two big men for a remix to their single. Rawss & Fat Elephant? There is definitely some BitchAssNess there, what’s the dealio?!

Custom Made – Original Dynasty [or zShare]
Title track off Custom Made‘s upcoming project, produced by Frank Dukes. Cop it on May 27th. So West Coast rock Dodger condoms.

Jim Gittum – Just Because [or zShare]
The man who brought some of Crooked I’s best joints (Boom Boom Clap, Str8 Bosses) has a new project out, The Vision, available on iTunes now! Also, be sure to show some love over at the MySpace.

Jim Gittum – True Love f. K-Young [or zShare]
Another joint off The Vision. This track features Treacherous Records‘ artist K Young. What up Mickey!?

Mavado – Last Night (rmx) f. Joell Ortiz [or zShare]
A few days late on this one, but my late pass is valid. New remix to the already hot track from Mavado.

Sic Osyrus – Who f. Sha Stimuli [or zShare]
After months and months of trading emails and whatnot, I finally met up with Sha in Atlanta. Very random meeting, but dope nonetheless. What up dude!? I know you check the blog haha. Sic stays dropping heat as well and this is no different. Be on the lookout for Sic-O-Nomics 2 coming soon!

Mack 10 – Big Baller f. Glasses Malone & Red Cafe [or zShare]
New joint off Mack 10’s upcoming album, Soft White, produced by Ervin “E.P.” Pope.

Ca$his & Young DE – All I Be [or zShare]
New single off their upcoming street album, Cons-Piracy.
