A (2)Dope Elzhi Post
So as I’m sitting at home alone (again) I start searchin the internets for something interesting to read. I come across the lovely Classic Drug References blog and scope out sk’s latest interview with Slum Village’s Elzhi. Since I find that Elzhi is one of the most overlooked emcee’s in the game I wanted to drop his unreleased Out of Focus EP as well as his Witness My Growth mixtape which does just that… it lets you listen to his growth as an emcee and writer from 97-04. On top of that I’ll give you a track off his upcoming album as well as one of my favorite SV tracks. One that got your boy Shake through a lot of tough times during my high school years. I mean a lot of tough times. I want to send a special thanks to El, T3 and the lovely singer (who I don’t know of) for that record. I mean it.

you know on that save ya track, if I was a novice hip hop fan, I would have said man Elzhi and T3 sound like L____ B_____. But thats being dumb in the fact that Elzhi and T3 been holding it down for like what 10 years or so…so LB sound like SV…and esp Phonte sound alot like Elzhi.
