On October 26th, Jazz vocalist and multi Grammy nominee Nnenna Freelon is teaming up with hip hop quartet The Beast for a new project, Freedom Suite. A 10-track jazz/hip hop fusion hosted by 9th Wonder and guest appearances from the likes of Phonte, Darien Brockington, YahZarahm Thee Tom Hardy, Carlitta Durand, Kooley High, Geechi Suede (of Camp Lo) and more. The release will coincide with the launch of The Revivalist (details expressed in the blockquote below).
The Revivalist highlights the groundbreaking and gifted musicians that educate, inspire and transform audiences through their live musicianship. By illuminating the renewal of jazz, synthesized with the influences of hip-hop, the site is at the heart of a cultural resurgence of live music.
