Chi2LA23 It’s still so weird to me how different he is now. peaceXpiece ^ pretty much. He still dope in his own right it is just hard to get over how different he is. he reinvented himself completely. DatNewNew Cage is a boss. Glad he is getting some shine. Depart From Me was amazing and like Cudi said “if you want the old Cage then buy his old shit” Cyse cage is actually a cross….dresser. How do you go from gangster to emo? “Movies for the blind” Cage needs to come back… jd Dude got clowned so hard by so many rappers that this is how he ended up. Not even the Jux camp fucks with this guy anymore. I’m as much of a fan of his old stuff as anyone else, but this just goes to show you how much of a “hard hiphop head” he ever was. No dude from the streets would EVER flip himself into this image. You guys should really stop posting this crap, because even if you compare it to the stuff people are complaining about nowadays (Charles Hamilton, Asher, Mac Miller) it’s still subpar. You can’t polish a turd. static I’m.super disappointed in cage what happen to the weatherman cage I used yo kno I kno u gotta flip your shit but cmon son. Mitas For wat its worth Hell’s Winter is a classic! cage really came back wit that, havent bumped Depart From Me yet but i hope all of it aint like this. Berp Willie i’m not sure what happen to this cat but depart from me was a huge dissapointment IMO. cage used to be my favorite rapper before the emo phase kicked in. i still respect what he’s doing just haven’t been feeling his music lately. ch3ckm3out The first time I listened to cage was when he was apart of smut peddlers. I thought Depart From Me was a good album but, I don’t really like this song. Like what Berp Willie said i too still respect what he is doing. ch3ckm3out The first time I listened to cage was when he was apart of smut peddlers. Guy Is this shit hip hop. really? labou not sure what i think about all this ***** Fuck Yeah Cage. 412 Cage is sick actually. Hell’s winter was a classic and Depart from Me is some original music. Nobody sounds like this dude. Pushing the boundary. I fucks wit this song DT Wow, lotta dumbasses here who suck up to something they don’t know and try to keep a hold of shit that they think is superbly original and amazing. Cage’s old shit was great, don’t get me wrong, but it had the generic underground sound accompanying it. The only redeeming factor was his amazing lyrical work. His newer stuff has the same lyrical style, but a unique spin on the usual rap sound. Compare the lyrics side-by-side of his old stuff to his new, they’re almost the same with the exception of there being more “mainstream” style hooks. His lyrics did not turn emo, they’re just the same as before, if not less emo. He used to rap about how shit everything was, how he wanted to kill himself, etc, while his new stuff is looking back at those feelings. He has evolved, moved on. Fans of Cage who have latched on, blindly, to the old shit needs to do the same. He’s still got some amazing stuff, better than anyone else. He’s allowed to change. He does this shit for himself, not for you faggots. Songs R-Mean – “Pictures” f. Joe Budden Mean Mondays.
