  • There in no Wonder left in 9th. He needs to refresh his library or sounds. And learn how to mix albums with more volume.

  • White Mike

^ Besides 3-4 joints the album is mixed good. 9th only did like 5 beats also. You need to hear the entire thing.

  • White Mike

The MUSIC is what I’m listening too, and this made my week! Thank you IWWMG. Happy bday 9th!

  • xastey

thought he would have that Kendrick + Warren G track.. o well still good non the less

  • red

Nice I’ve been waiting on this.

  • Snagz

*waits for all the white kids to show up to say how “dope” this is and to act like they can relate to a project dedicated to African American culture* lol

  • sgasga

    Happy Birthday To 9Th Wonder.
Happy Birthday Dr.Martin. Rest In Peace.

  • Black Ryu

    NC got NEXT!

  • tnbczero

    been waiting on this

  • *Snagz*
The more people like you separate the Human Race the more we lose. Good job being part of the problem, in stead of part of the solution. Its HUMAN Culture, and understanding it all makes you a more complete spiritual being. But what would you know about that shit, you are.. well.. … An idiot, black white or yellow.

  • Second Cousin

I am both white and a huge fan of hip-hop music and culture. When I listen to projects like this, I am not attempting to relate to the African American struggle, but rather to enjoy music that allows someone “out of touch” to empathize with and learn from such experiences. Thus, your above comment is ignorant and continues to be a part of our 20th century prejudiced culture. Take your bullshit somewhere else.

    p.s. This shit is DOPE.

  • red

Is it a crime for white people to listen to hip hop that isn’t about materialism?

  • marty mcfly

Dopeness. I like Act proof way more then J cole and think they should get the same hype. Only line I like of J coles is the Tables turn punchline from who dat. The reason I bring up Jcole is cause hes a punchline rapper like fabolous but not as good. Act proof may not wow you with every line but they focus more on having many styles and what the overall song sounds like when its complete. It aint to many young mcs that work on their craft , they just write a few songs and expect to be bigger then lil wayne overnite. When I hear these two I hear true mc skills. I havent listen to The Talented yet but I know its gonna be fresh. Pressing play now , thanks Act proof.

  • AMP

I love AP’s sound. This is hip hop.

Fuck any haters, especially those going at 9th.

  • Track 5 is exactly why 9th loses. ANT from RSE used the sample for a Atmosphere track that just killed this beat. It’s called “Wild Wild Horse: from “When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold”.

A lot of his beats sound like intro beats and the beat never starts. Come on 9th, I love the shit you can bang out. Where you at my man?

  • Looking forward to this, I got a feeling this might be some straight flavor.

  • Kiij

Snidiot and Second Cousin spoke the truth.

  • 7L

@9thmosphere… ummm 9th didn’t even produce track 5. Try harder.

  • whatsmyname

wow @9thmosphere …. how DUMB do you sound lol! it CLEARLY SAYS ….produced by THE SINOPSIS… i have a better theory… the fact that you lack simple READING/COMPREHENSION skills is why YOU lose …lol… “9TH” mosphere lol (dumbass name) lol

  • whatsmyname

besides … i think 9th is doing just fine. LMAO…

  • SundownAP

Thanks to everybody who took the time to listen. Whether you’re White, Black, Asian, Latino… or whatever, this album/EP wasn’t made to exclude anyone. For those that like it, thank you. And for those that don’t, thank you as well.

  • marty mcfly

PEACE to Martin Luther King , look at the pic he looks determined even when he was gettin arrested. He knew his dream was gonna set us all free even though he wouldnt get there with us. Salute the King. PEACE to X too he was a soldier.

  • EnigmaAP

Word Up…. what my partner said! lol. Seriously, we truly appreciate the support that has been shown. We put a great deal of time and effort into this album, and we are greatful for everyone that takes an honest listen. Hip Hop Lives homies!

  • For one the name isn’t supposed to be “cool” idiots. Second, do any of you know what an EXECUTIVE PRODUCER is? I don’t care who’s name is next to it saying producer credits. 9th only produced a total of five tracks on this album and gets his name on the cover. Yeah, sure. Keep being idiots. Should be KHRYSIS AND AP, there is a reason why it’s not. Think about it for more then a second before you speak.

  • TroySoul

@9thmosphere Where is 9th name on the cover?

  • Stop trolling

@9thmosphere, I don’t know why I’m arguing with you, but 9th’s name isn’t on the cover. Look again. It says Actual Proof – The Talented tenth. That’s it. Not “9th Wonder and, or 9th Wonder presents, etc.”

You just WANT to be negative. Enjoy the music, or don’t. But stop trolling.

  • Stop trolling

@TroySoul, it’s not on the cover. This guy thought is just reaching for anything he can to fill up the comment section with bullshit.

  • yugang

Havent listened to this yet but based on the shit ive heard thats from the talented tenth im confident its a real good project for the most part. Downloading now

  • dope

This shit is dope. I was waitin for this dope project. I really like all the dope images he was puttin out with each dope track leading up to this dope release. This shit is really dope.
Keep your blinders on son and fall back. Snagz is a fooooool

  • Ken

@xastey: what Kendrick Lamar & Warren G track?

  • 9th Wonder Bread

    9th Wonder & Actual Proof>>>

  • nathanjones

That super genius cut is still in rotation

  • Genius was big by these cats, but they’ve been hit and miss ever since. And in recent times, more of a miss.

  • could you post up track 11 please?

  • hungryhungryhypocrisy

@Snagz – Your comment was basically everything Dr. King stood against.

@9thmosphere – “Think about it for more then a second before you speak.”

  • The Delorean Driver

I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: “We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.”

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at a table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a desert state, sweltering with the heat of injustice and oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character

  • frillzy

haha @9thmosphere…. tsk tsk tsk… he read the post title and associated it with the album cover… lmaoooooooooooooo!!!

  • E

This is awesome. Respect to enigma and sundown for making a great project, and for commenting on the post and spreading love. There is too much hating going on…….. peace!

  • Dana

This mixtape is flames.Actual Proof is too dope

  • Ahshs

9th played the Kendrick n Warren g on upstream n it’s FIRE. Imma check this tape out cause I have the super genius remix and it’s dope

  • marty mcfly

IF you take the Talented Tenth and you get the Genius Edition EP. Mix them together with your favorite songs in your own order. Classic , im just sayin.

  • I’m sorry if I’m “hating” but is anyone else super-irritated with dude’s little chuckle on like every other line he spits on EVERY SINGLE FUCKING SONG? Good album & concept & everthing, besides that, though but I’ve wanted to punch that guy in the throat since hearing this on all their music since they’ve been out.

  • GREAT way to start of 2011. These guys earned my respect. This is fresh as hell…

  • Yodaddy

@Clint Portie …. I took a close listen to what you were talkin about…and honestly …I wouldn’t call it hating…but it is rather nit pickish of you…way to take a great conceptual project and shit on it with unwarranted negativity….My take on it…with the FEW verses on it that he does that…he’s writing a conversational type verse…which while in conversation you sometimes chuckle…I noticed it doesn’t happen AT ALL on the Malcolm side where the songs are harder…but on the MLK side…he does it SOMETIMES…and like I said when he does it, it’s probably to inflect a conversational type undertone…which I think it shows maturity in his rhyming. Take another listen. In the harder songs where is lyrics are more compact he does it VERY VERY rarely…if any at all. Basically…shut the hell up and appreciate dope music….OR you post a link that has you rapping on it (because I know u probably do) so we bash the hell out of that shit.

    Just saying…lol ….as you were

  • Such a smooth tape

  • i aint saying this just to say this but this is really really good! 2011 started off strong… detroit red is a raw beat!

  • ML

does no one else think the one dude in this group has pretty much mastered the jay-z “Friend or Foe” flow? everytime i hear his rap I can’t help but be annoyed at how similar he sounds to jay on reasonable doubt.

  • @ML 9 fuck man your bang on..you have ruined this tape for me..

  • Dorian

9th Couldn’t have given a shot to spitta on track 5? oh well

  • Friend or Foe

@ML Yeah, Enigma does kinda have the Jay-Z Friend or Foe flow. He’s the one that spits first on almost every joint on this albvum.

  • O

    ERIC G!

  • ha

    @ 9thmosphere

Why should the it be “KRYSIS AND AP”?

Krysis only has two tracks. 9th and Eric G have more. You make no sense.

  • saxon

why does everyone have bitch at each other on every single damn post on this site? just say if u liked it or not. why bitch about the producers its not like they care about what you think anyways.

  • TroySoul

@ha Khrysis has 6, more than any other producer.

  • marty mcfly

  • marty mcfly

Wat up yall , yesterday I made this list of act proof songs I like but I forgot to mention that I got the NO MORE TROUBLE song from Rapsodys mixtape RETURN OF THE B GIRL incase you wanted to know where that song is from cause its a monster. Also if you add MANY MICROPHONES by 9th wonder , Rapsody and Act proof. Then you add Sean boog and Act proofs song LIGHT BEERS AHEAD OF YOU to the list above. You got a pretty solid boom bap classic hip hop sound. Im just sayin…

  • It already IS a “pretty solid boom bap classic hip hop sound”[email protected] mcfly. Great album (not really a mixtape, no?) & I’m sorry if my previous comments were taken the wrong way. I’ve since listened to this more thoroughly & it’s kind of incredible. Dude’s add-libs are still very annoying though. I think he would be more appealing to older heads such as myself without all the loud sighs & chuckling. Just sounds over compensatory & seems like it shows a lack of breath control.

  • marty mcfly

ITs all good cause the chuckling in the verses also annoyed me for a while but the beats they rap on is super dope.

  • the real MartyMackFlyy

  • KK

  • marty mcfly

Im telling yall , you need to check that list of act proof songs I made just a few comments above this one. I been playin they shit back to back for days now. They choice of beats , words and scratches are dope. Trust me on this one. I can tell they young by they delivery but they got skills.

  • BION I’m imprsseed! Cool post!
