The Knux – She’s So Up

blame it on Shake March 1, 2011

After spending most of 2009 touring to promote their debut album (Remind Me in 3 Days), The Knux are back in the studio working on their Sophomore release.

Unplugged from the public, but plugged into their amps, they armed themselves with guitars, computers, synths, drums, tambourines, pots, pans and friends to outdo themselves. Fueled by a series of all-night listening sessions where the Stones mingled with the Clash, ZZ Top met Joy Division and the Smiths chopped it up with PM Dawn (yes, PM Dawn), the brothers emerged with a stripped-down, precise update of their signature sound. Lead by Joey’s guitar cutting through a collage of live and programmed backbeats by Krispy, The Knux have declared war on your speakers. The first clue of what’s in store is “She’s So Up”, an up-tempo jam about a favorite topic – the opposite sex. “She’s so up, she’s so down, yea she keeps me movin’ around”… What a familiar feeling indeed.
