  • nickd

alright. who the fuck mixed this? doesnt sound right

  • boywonda

but why leak a weak track?

  • Rafae Sheikh

    @boywonda

So you can hear all the amazing tracks when the album actually comes out.

  • yeah

What the fuck is this beat? Sounds like it was made in about 5 minutes.

  • blackRicky

i can see the ladies loving this. smooth shit

This is ok but for Kendrick I was expecting more.
All these leaks havent been up to par and haven't gave me the same feeling as his last album did.

  • Th3rd ear

do J. Cole fans feel its their duty to diss Kendrick and Drake in honor of their hero? Smh I think ppl like me who actually listen to more than just hip hop and r&b will appreciate this more than others

  • semendo

heat! need info on THC.. he got a soundcloud or facebook or something? dude is creative

  • boywonda

@Rafae Sheik they leak a track that makes me want to cop the album.. anyhow i am expecting nothing short of amazing from Section 80

  • yikes

wow, this is kinda garbage. leaking a weak-ass song is always a nice to build anticipation for an album lol

  • SUPERSLIM64

    this is nice!
Catchy as shit, and the beat is awesome while high.

    Section80 is gonna be raw.

  • Jonnielluminati

I can tell OD will end up more lyrical than Section 80 but Section 80 will be better musically and conceptually and overall creatively

  • TonyStarks

hmmmmmm.... the best is Vicious, sounds lyk what wat was going through Marios head on that WAter stage.. i like this track on second listen. the average listener will hit the skip button

  • http://shaqfoo.com BLACK SNOW

THIS SONG IS A HOT MESS.

WORK OUT IS BETTER THAN THIS.

BUT WHAT GOOD WILL THAT DO YOU? MAYBE DREW GOODEN.

    SO FAR, KENDRICK'S LEAKS > COLE'S LEAKS

AND IF YOU HATE COMPARISONS; THAT'S YOUR PROBLEM.

IT'S NATURE TO COMPARE, THAT'S HOW WE CHOOSE MATES AND THAT'S HOW WE DEBATE-- NO HATE.

HIII POWER AND RONALD REAGAN ERA TRUMP LOST ONES AND CHEER UP (IF THEY ACTUALLY MAKE COLE'S ALBUM). JUST SAYIN. COLE IS BEHIND THE 8 BALL. AND WATCH OUT FOR KRIT.

  • TonyStarks

C/s that Bold & High statement by SUPERSLIM64!

  • SUPERSLIM64

many of you disagree, but I think this song is nice. The lyrics are well written, delivery, rhythm..the flow..this man got hella flows low key lol

and its alot different from the other leaks, but it sorta still fits well with the theme of the album. Just some real shit.
can't wait to hear this shit.

  • NYC/BROOKLYN

WTF is this? this nigga is singing on his hooks too. yall niggaz need to staple your balls to the wall if yall diggin' this BS. why these new rap niggaz thinkin' they R&B singers all of a sudden.

  • dreamteam

it may throw u off when u 1st hear the sound but this shit is really genius the way dude flipped c murders hook from a hood standpoint to a females venerability. good shit if u ask me.

  • Sylver21

co-sign superslim64 on the flows comments. i feel like that may be his strongest skill as a rapper, he has a plethora of flows that he uses to keep the listener interested.

that said, I realized with kanye's MBTDF that listening to these leaks fucks with the flow of an album/mixtape. it took me longer to get as deep into that album cuz i had been bumpin monster for months and the original version of so appalled for even longer. every song isnt gonna blow you away when its played by itself on first listen. that doesnt mean its not good, imo. it jus means it may not fit your mood at the time esp with conceptual joints like this. but thats wat a great album does, it pulls u into watever mood the artist is creating....said all that to say, after two listens I like this track but I feel it'll be that much better as a part of the finished product. so ima chill on truly critiquing(im sure thats spelled wrong lol) it til then. Im still hyped for this project.

  • SZ

Man yall complain too much. Kendrick Lamar is an amazing artist. And all I see is growth. This man can easily give u heavily lyrical tracks that fill up this album, instead he's giving u a variety, and giving you concepts and themes to bring more meaning, think about women today, this song is a story, the beat is smooth, and his lyrics fit the beat and its flow, stop complaining on this man's music because noneof yall cud probably be on his level anyway, good or bad becauz u have no talent at all, so just fall back and enjoy the creativity and the music, if u dont like Section80. then dont buy it, dont download it, dont even listen to it, but let others who want to enjoy it, and quit all the trash talk, because yall aint sayin nuthin 4real...

  • skilla

yall some basic ass niggas. this shit is dope

  • wkykvfw

I have no idea what all of you are talking about. This track is really good. Nice concept, cool flow, DIFFERENT beat. I'm diggin it. Cool vid too.

  • Sylver21

aite, drake got the exclusives on k lamar's video and shit lol.

but yea..the video made the song connect even more for me. i like how kendrick is kinda emotionless as the narrator and the editing was on point. and good lookin out whoever pointed out the c-murder sample on the hook, i was wrecking my brain tryna figure it out.

WHY DO YOU WRITE ESSAYS ABOUT PEOPLE SHOULD NOT LISTEN IF THEY DON'T LIKE IT.

PEOPLE HAVE A RIGHT TO LISTEN AND CRITIQUE. IT IS ONLY HATE IF THEY CRITIQUE WITHOUT LISTENING.

YOU DUDES SOUND MAD SOFT... CHARMIN THUGS.

THE CONCEPT TO THIS SONG IS INTERESTING, BECAUSE IT SPEAKS ON THE PLIGHTS AND MOTIVES OF WOMEN DONE WRONG BY A HYPER SEXUAL, HYPER MASCULINE SOCIETY.

    THE EXECUTION HOWEVER IS POOR.

NEEDED A BETTER BEAT. FLOW IS AIGHT. CONCEPT AND LYRICS ARE GREAT.

REMINDS OF NAS, WHEN HE SPITS HOT STUFF OVER GARBAGE BEATS. I CAN'T GET JIGGY WITH THIS ONE.

BUT IT CAN STILL WORK ON THE ALBUM BECAUSE OF THE NATURE OF THE SONG.

THE VISUALS HELP OUT. BUT NO SAVING THAT FAILED BEAT. IT'S ANNOYING LIKE COLE TRYNA HIT A HIGH NOTE ON A HOOK.

  • TonyStarks

feeling dis even more wit da visuals... tired of hearing da same shyt followed by the sama as videos... Nice shyt from K.Dot

  • ILL

The girl "Tammy" represents the girl that Wayne and Drake both mention in different songs. "...I know this girl name Tammy with a purple Bentley." That's likely the reason that Drake posted the video. So yeah, Kendrick took a random name drop from two rappers, and used her as a blueprint for how women in bad relationships respond. It's actually a pretty dope concept, and the video's well done too. Kendrick wins.

  • TonyStarks

  • http://fuckyou.com DP

@SZ said the realest shit. I feel the same way about leaks now and that's why I only listen to about 2 songs that might come off of an artist's album. I remember when I first use to listen to Kanye's albums, I hated the shit. Couldn't stand any of it. After awhile though, with listening to the WHOLE record and sitting on it, it became something beautiful to me. Some shit just takes time for you to like. I haven't heard this so I can't say anything about it but I believe section 80 will be a good album.

  • kayo

this is terrible.. i love kendrick but damn.. this is terrible

  • enlightenment

this is dope! i don't judge a body of work off a single. im more concerned about the coherence of the album/mixtape. the way each song flows to the next. the way each song gives the previous song addition insight/meaning. that's what i expect from an artist like kendrick lamar. section80!

sex with society was wack and so is this....smh. I hope Section80 not like this cuz this beat is real weak. I don't like it when Kendrick be spittin hella lazy over beats. I want him to make some rawer shit like his EP or Monster/Look Out For Detox/HiiPower. I hope Section80 won't dissappoint.

  • Fredwreck

Wow really? Sex w/ Society is far from wack. Y'all must have no concept of what he's talking about if you though it was wack. Was it that far over ya heheads? This generation is so fucking lost & doomed.

  • http://iamcloud9.bandcamp.com/ cloud9

To the people saying Sex with Society was whack, its not on the album so...

To me Sex with Society was the best leaked song so far(just my opinion). I don't know if I want to listen to this song yet though, because I want to judge the album as a whole. True albums aren't like how most artists do them today, where they just take a bunch of songs and group them together for a CD, without listening to Section 80 yet, we have no idea how this is incorporated into the concept, so at least wait until tomorrow to judge it.

  • Pauly Dee

Haha, as I've said before, Hip Hop Fans are fuckin' close minded as fuck. The beat was fire to me, because unlike some people I actually listen to MORE than ONE genre of music. The lyrics were on point and, although it was annoying at first, Kendrick's tone was very cool. So hyped for Section 80, just hope it's on Itunes!
(Fuck, I wasen't even supposed to listen to this.)

  • BigTam

Sex w/Society was Garbo. I like Kendrick but that one wasn't for me. Also by putting (Her Evils) in the title is he implying that women having relationships/hooking up w/other women is evil? Cuz if so, that's stupid.. But I'm not sure how to interpret that.

  • Sha

People are so stupid this song is sooo dope and creative, the sad thing is that its going over their heads but then they say they love real hip hop...if this isnt real hip hop then i dont know what is #Section80 cant wait

This song is pure crack and so was Sex With Society. This dude is the only nigga keeping the culture alive. After listening to it, I can see how some people wouldn't like this, beat selection is a big part of any artist's craft. I personally like it, but I'll admit Kendrick doesn't exactly mesh super smooth with these THC beats from what I hear. Its all about personal opinions though

  • Rezo

Did any of you Kendrick nutsuckers ever think the reason there is no physical release is because only you nutsuckers would buy it? Hate to tell you this, but hip hop fans as a whole don't fuck with him, at least not enough to buy it. I go on 4 or 5 hip hop blogs and this is the only site that actually really likes this dude. Rezo the only reason you hate on him is cause some1 posted a Kendrick Lamar > J. Cole comment on a J. Cole post..and of course hes not selling physical copies he's not even signed to a major label yet, when he does then you'll find retail copies of his CDs in stores

  • PeteyCHase

Cool visuals for a lyrically void song. Kendrick is growing on me as artist though.

  • Purple Rain

I have NoYork!, fool, and you're probably talking about NewMGNGrand, but if u think thats dubstep, then you're just as ignorant as the "SAME PEOPLE THAT THINK DRAKE AND BIG SEAN INVENTED THE SUPA DUPA FLOW. SAME PEOPLE WHO THINK KANYE WAS THE FIRST TO LEVERAGE BEATS AND RHYMES. SAME PEOPLE WHO THINK HIP-HOP STARTED IN THE 80S." There are specific elements that are essential to a dubstep song (most importantly the BASS itself), and that song had none of them. NoYork! had some electronic production, but NEVER dubstep. Try listening to a Skrillex track and see if u can spot the difference.

  • http://shaqfoo.com BLACK SNOW

    YOU HAVE NO YORK?

THEN HOW MANY SONGS IS EXILE ON?

JUST NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE CREDIBLE.

  • http://twitter.com/SneakGeek Tre

Maybe this song doesn't stand out like Hiipower or Reagan Era, but I think in the overall scheme of Section80, it'll fit in just fine. Just like with Overly Dedicated. A lot of those songs wouldn't have been great by themselves but when you put them all together, they made an amazing project.

  • common sense

if you're listening to music on computer speakers complaining about sound quality and trying to judge mixing quality, kill yourself. wait till this comes out officially and bump it in a proper sound system, you clowns...

  • Purple Rain

My files don't have producer credits, but I can hear him on "ta g's", and "seasons" is pretty clearly an Exile beat just by listening to it.

But thats all kind of beside the point- all I said was that there was no dubstep there, and if u go learn what dubstep is, you'll catch on to that by yourself, without any "credibility tests".

  • http://shaqfoo.com BLACK SNOW

    AND YOU FAIL, PURPLE RAIN.

THANKS FOR PLAYING LIKE YOU KNOW STUFF.

TWO OF THE SONGS YOU MENTIONED, NEW MGNGRAND AND SEASONS ARE NOT ON THE ALBUM.

    ON TO THE NEXT ONE.

WHEN YOU CATCH YOURSELF IN A LIE, YOU TRY SO HARD TO DISGUISE.

  • Purple Rain

Actually, you're right, I'm not sensitive enough to deny that. I just realized I had those mistagged- probably why I had 21 songs on No York! for some reason. But the simple facts and the bottom line are that Blu has never rapped over dubstep, and you're just too ignorant to distinguish between different genres of electronic music.

p.s. In that case, I'm guessing your mystery "dubstep" track was the Everything'sOK with Jack Davey, which has much less in common with the genre than my original guess.

I KNOW DUBSTEP. IM A FORMER DJ. I KNOW ELECTRO POP & ELECTRONICA.

IM JUST SAYIN BLU RAPPING OVER SPECIFIC NON-SOULFUL BEATS DOES NOT TRANSLATE WELL WITH HIS RAPPING STYLE... MUCH LIKE KENDRICK LAMAR ON THIS TRACK.

YOU CAN SAY IM IGNORANT. AND IM COOL WITH THAT. DUBSTEP IS NOT MY FORTE. NEVER CLAIMED IT WAS. BUT I DO KNOW IT WHEN I HEAR IT AND ITS ELEMENTS.

AS FAR AS KENDRICK AND THIS PARTICULAR SONG, IT JUST LACKS GOOD EXECUTION. IT IS NOT A SINGLE. UNDERSTOOD. AND I LIKE I SAID IN MY PREVIOUS COMMENT IT SHOULD FLOW WITH THE ALBUM.

I JUST THINK THE BEAT IS UNORTHODOX AND THE FLOW IS LETHARGIC. I CANNOT VIBE WITH THAT COMBINATION NO MATTER HOW DEEP THE SUBJECT MATTER IS. THAT IS WHY I MENTIONED NAS AND BLU, TWO DOPE LYRICIST WHO DO NICE RAPS OVER TRASH BEATS. THINK COMMON ON UNIVERSAL MIND CONTROL.

THIS SONG IS AN ALBUM FILLER. AND SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN RELEASED AS A SINGLE. JUST SAYIN.

This is getting the Michael Jordan treatment... you won't like this a first, give it a couple of listens, it'll grow on you.

  • lantic

    this shit suck... ya'll trippin

  • asdfghjkl

The chorus hook or whatever is crap
If it wasn't for that then this song would be good

  • audi

This song's concept is amazing, the beat is tough (y'all don't like it since it goes over your heads), and the song overall is nice. Sure, it's not the best we can get from K. Dot, but you know damn well it's better than other shit you've listened to. And yeah, that chick got a fat ass.

  • BIG SEAN FUCKED YOUR BITCH. SWAG.

I can't believe people can actually listen to this clown on an everyday basis. Sure, he has like 10 good songs, but then he also has like 50 wack ones. Dude is the most inconsistant rapper since 50.

  • http://www.kickthetruth.com methodDK

@BIG SEAN FUCKED YOUR BITCH. SWAG.: So kinda like Big Sean then, right? Maybe they should do a mixtape called "Only 10% of this tape is hot"

As for the track? It's decent, not his best, the video makes the song on this one.

If you havent listened to any of his mixtapes (specifically Overly Dedicated) then you have no business making foolish judgmental statements like this as of youre some type of expert

  • Dorian

@shutuptroll Curren$y did it before Warner Bros.

  • marty mcfly

Nothing about this song goes over peoples head so stop with that bullshit. The songs lyrics are as plain as day and as simple as A B C. A single is supposed to create the excitement that motivates people to listen to the album and this song and Sex with society were just not that good. I will agree that people have to consider the rest of the project and how the song fits in with the other material on the project. BUT each song is still supposed to be good and if this was a single that was put out there in the real hip hop market it would not survive. You can still like an artists and be honest when a song is not that good.

  • Fredwreck

@ marty mcfly - I know you think you smarter than most folks, but what if Kendrick Lamar is bucking the trend? Doesn't strike me as a conformist to anything in the music game.

If I were a hip hop artist, why conform to the fickle downloading, all-too-opininated "fans" out there?

  • Kent G

    o.O

I don't see what the problem is niggas. I like the track. *shurg*

  • blasph

too much "nigga" through the whole song. beats cool though

  • LupeFaco

" I actually listen to MORE than ONE genre of music."
prob the reason why everyone has different opnions..this song i liked , not like super liked, but sex wit society did have a different feel to it, lyrics were hot how did anyone hate on that beat he tryin diff shit i liked it , lets wait for the leak

  • Trey

Im not sure what song you guys are listening to but this hit fire. You niggas suck.

  • Pauly Dee

It's okay, marty. You just started listening to Kendrick so its okay.

LupeFaco, I agree. When it comes to music people have a lot of opinions. Can't wait for the album!

  • Rafae Sheikh

    Awesome song.

  • Pauly Dee

" each song is still supposed to be good and if this was a single that was put out there in the real hip hop market it would not survive."

Ummm...HiiiPower is a single and we all know that wouldn't do good in the mainstream...your argument is over.

  • Rafae Sheikh

    http://www.mediafire.com/?cfeb4mubg1nn4h9 - Section 80

    Legit link. Trust me.

  • marty mcfly

@Pauly Dee you make a comment about every comment I make so you just saying whatever just to go against what I say but if Sex in the society and Tammys Song is the kind of standards your holding him to thats fine. I just like Kendrick has access to a library of classic material and Kendrick has watched a bunch of Mcs come into the game a drop fire back to back for years. So you people acting like its acceptable to drop music thats not great especially after seeing the careers of Nas , Jayz , Tupac , Mos def , Kanye , Big Pun , Lupe , Common , Wu tang , Biggie , Game ( yes Game cause hes from Compton and has great albums that I know Kendrick has heard ) etc... How many fucking examples of greatness does a artist need to see before they go create music on that same level? The blueprint for making incredible music is right in front of your face. So dont make no shit over no weak ass beats and say some lazy simple minded garbage.

  • djmuzika23

Some of you niggas just don't get what Kendrick is trying to put out. Must every song have some sick ass lyrics to be considered as a good song? Sometimes concept has to come before lyrics because the artist is trying to make a point.

In my opinion, yes this is most likely the worst leak of #Section80 but it still has meaning. When the album comes out, you'll understand the entire concept that is #Section80.

  • n00b

@Rafae Sheikh This better not be some shitty niggas mixtape or some other such shittery...

  • marty mcfly

Even if this is a concept song? That means nothing because it still has to be good and if what your implying is true then that means there should be a common theme that connects HiiiPower with Reagan Era with Hol Up with Tammy Song. The only concept is that there all on the same project. Concept means an abstract idea , which I dont think this is very abstract , its just straight forward telling you something ( The deliver is different , ill give you that but its not really that good ). Concept also can mean a piece of a larger idea but that means all albums have concepts because each song is just another piece of the project. If all the songs connect on section 80 then what some of you are trying to imply makes since but if they dont then you cant use that argument.

  • JustAFanOfMusic

@Rafae: You my nigga, br0... shit legit as teh fuck, n00b. WOO HOO! Finally got this bitch for free... AND EARLY!

Section.80 is living up to my hype. D0P3

    Marty McFly

On behalf of the entire comment section, shut the fuck up.

    Good day.

  • $$$

    Whiny ass dudes. Grow up.

  • JustAFanOfMusic

Oh shit... if Tammy's Song is based off Wayne's line from "6 Foot 7 Foot" then Keisha's Song must be based off Wayne's "Dick Pleaser".

    Just my thoughts...

  • 32122

    wow the album is amazing
    he killed it

  • Joey

If you are saying you "love Kendrick" yet saying "this is terrible" you have yet to grasp Kendrick and his way of music. The concept is dope, his flow is dope, and the feel of the song is dope. This song is not much different than any other of his Story tracks; its just about the ways of some females, though.

Also you can not judge this one song, it is apart of a group (the album Section 80). If you are a real Kendrick fan you would have looked at the track list and seen the titles of the rest of the tracks and could piece together that all the song titles seem like they could flow seamlessly together with a concept in every song (not just a BS filled song like J.cole's Work Out)

  • Pauly Dee

But marty mcfly, it's only cause im ya number one faaaaaaan!

  • Bro…

Lol Marty McFly. You are a dumbass, are you not? None of the concepts in the leaked songs go together? Have you seen the Cover of the Album? It pretty much sums it up there. You are trying to piece to specific of a theme that "none of them go together". The theme is the ills of the world and contradiction from what is viewed and going on personally/behind the scenes. Then if you seen the track list, you would have seen HiiiPower is the final track; summing up the whole album that you need to be higher than the ills of the world.

Have you taken a higher level English class that teaches you break down structured novels/ writing works and figure out the themes?

  • Ricki Lutes

this is a dope ass track, it got this vibe to it!

  • NY till I die

Heard the whole album now and it is wack.

  • marty mcfly

@ I didnt say the songs were concepts and I never said they connect or didnt connect. I havent even heard it dumbass but people keep using the argument that his project is a concept and if people dont like it then the just dont understand. Thats not the case

  • feef

damn kendrick is at the top , so many haters dude blowin up 2011 i feel it

  • marty mcfly

@ Bro... somebody else making an excuse for why some people dont like SOME of his music.

  • ThaTruth

kendrick lamar remind me of nas, common, and other rappers in that category, they are headphone rappers and not the type you wanna bump into when you ride in your car or the club like weezy, jeezy and ross. Kendrick is a great rapper but after listening to his album he did too much experiment with it and kinda went out his zone and most of the production overpowered his vocals and his choruses are not epic enough to get him more exposure in this game. Overall the album is average, In my opinion his best songs are Hol up , The Spiteful Chant, High Power, and No make up are the only songs that have mainstream potential the rest is just average.
