K-Def – Times Change

blame it on JES7 July 22, 2011

If you’re a producer, a beat fan or fan of K-Def, you may wanna pay attention to this one. I had the pleasure of hearing K-Def’s flip of For Pete’s Sake, dubbed For Def’s Sake and I can confidently say K-Def stood on his own and flipped the same sample incredibly. Here’s an original joint (and just a small sample of what K-Def is capable of) that will be featured on the upcoming For Def’s Sake 7″.

If you’re not familiar, K-Def has worked with everyone from Marley Marl, Lords Of The Underground, LL Cool J, Ghostface, etc). He’s scored music for Rockstar Games, HBO’s Entourage, and more. This is a big record for Redefinition Records and we’re excited to be working with K.

    Charles Hamilton’s version was better:

Word CHP? Charles looped a passage of music, and if you actually listened to Kdefs joint, you would notice that the sample was only heard just a few seconds of his tracks intro.

A few of these samples have been used elsewhere, for what it’s worth, but I think it’s safe to say that this dude Kdef just made a statement with this one.
