B.o.B On Possible Joint Album w/ T.I. (Video)

blame it on Shake November 29, 2011

With Jay-Z and Kanye West setting the bar with Watch the Throne, it seems as if collab projects between mainstream superstars is the future trend. Although Drake and Lil Wayne scrapped their idea, Drake and Rick Ross are planning to release Y.O.L.O. and now Clifford and Bobby Ray are throwing around the idea of doing one themselves. While nothing is set in stone, B.o.B reveals to MTV that the idea seems to be taking form.

The joint album, it actually started as a joke. Tip would always refer to me as the Martian, and in one of his lyrics, he said, ‘It’s the man and the Martian,’ and we said, ‘Man that could be an album title.’ We kinda just played around with it. But it seems to be taking form in a very organic way.

Obviously if this were to happen, it would have to be after Trouble Man and Strange Clouds both had their run, so I don’t see this in the near future. Either way, could be pretty sweet IMO.

  • B.o.B thinks OFWGKTA has “No Future,” we disagree

  • breakingdawnpt1

would be a fucking sick album, b.o.b is on some shit when hes on a track with t.i

  • Too Much Pretty Pussy Killer

shut the phuck up, shake!! you know nothing. just blog and leave opinions out. you’re a dick head.

  • Js

    More Martians? Really?

  • SHOWMAN3000

Really? BoB isn’t even a relevant name to have a collabo with any established artist.
Not only that who’s his demograhic? Who’s gonna pay attention to a very talented artist with great potential but has medicore music! His music is not powerful and it’s a annoying boring announcement or idea he’d collab with T.I. like who cares!
Get your fanbase and music popping 1st. Stop the piggybacking!

  • breakingdawnpt1

i’m pretty sure b.o.b has an established fanbase…

  • breakingdawnpt1

    …white people

  • deathlyhallowspt2

and hes signed to t.i’s label so how the fuck is he not supposed to piggyback?

  • scbman

i would really enjoy this. I don’t think there’s a song they have done together that I didn’t like

  • Damn, this would be sick! I would never have expected this though. Click my name to check out my blog if you are looking for another source for new music. Thanks.

It seems like Grand Hustle really really really need a new start & new rappers. YMCMB/MMG crushed them

  • yung

commercially, yes, YMCMB is more successful, but MMG? be real

  • 1dopeboy

lol @ someone saying his fanbase is “white people” like its some kind of insult

also, if you’ve ever been to a B.o.B concert, I’m pretty sure you’d see you were wrong anyway

  • Tay

This could be good, no doubt but if have to say Bad Meets Evil set the bar, WTT just had obviously more mainstream success. But Eminem & Royce lyrically was unmatched compared to WTT. Looking forward to YOLO tho.

my classmate’s mother makes $77 hourly on the laptop. She has been fired from work for 10 months but last month her paycheck was $7617 just working on the laptop for a few hours. Read more on this site…

  • fastflipper

ymcmb…really ?? they got a roster of like 15 rappers…and only 3 are releasing lps…one of them is the ”boss”

    who care bout b.o.b. anyway

  • el rey

@yung & @fastflipper: just look at Ambition’s 1st week sales (twice as Bobby Ray’s adventures), look at SelfMade sales, look at meek mill buzz. Furthermore, who now reppin’ Grand Hustle , except TI & BOB ? No one (at least ymcmb has «3» rappers realeasin’ somethin). Sad but true story.

  • SHOWMAN3000

Now your toying with the wod “established” obviously he has fans or we wouldn’t even be discussing this. However, his fanbase is small in comparison to any artist who is considered elite. Secondly it’s not like he has a fanbase that will propel his popularity and furthermore, it’s not like he’s one hit away from “blowing up”
He’s made several surges at becoming well received by more fans; and it’s not that the wide range of listeners or hiphop fans haven’t heard him. They have decided that he doesn’t move them to follow him one way or another. He has to do more. That’s 100% Lastly it is piggybacking! It’s lame because it’s not like he’s new or hasn’t dropped a album and T.I. is ushering him in the game like Cam did Juelz, Jim Jones & Vado. He already made several attempts now it looks like he “needs” T.I. for CPR to his career.

  • Pauly D

Because an artist’s whose single’s have ALWAYS hit the Top Ten of the Billboard 100 OBVIOUSLY needs “CPR” for his career.

    Ignorance is bliss…

  • SHOWMAN3000

^^^That makes it worse; all that and still slow traction. No one said he was wak. A hit is yesterdays news boss. Top 10 automatically means you have a relevant career and following? Yeh you’re right ignorance is bliss!
