Raekwon Talks Hologram 2Pac and Bringing Back ODB (Video)

blame it on Illy April 18, 2012

The Chef checked into the VIBE offices yesterday where MikeyFresh from MissInfo’s homebase asked him about 2Pac’s hologram performance at Coachella and the possibility of bringing back ODB in 2-D form.

On 2Pac’s hologram:

“That was brilliant. I tip my hat to Dre because it really shows the sense of love he had for Pac,” Raekwon explains. “Just to see someone do it for the first time ever. We only seen sh*t like that on TV.”

On the possibility of a ODB hologram:

“It made me think about Ol’ Dirty, too, Rae says. “I would definitely have to have a understanding with his moms. I think it all starts with [her] respect level. If [she] want us to do it and they feel like it’s cool that’s when we would continue to move on and do that. I wouldn’t jump up out of the blue and just say ‘yo I want to reincarnate your son this way.’ I think it’s important that you give moms respect for her son.”

Rae checks into The Breakfast Club after the jump.

I dont think Chef Raekwon & Ice Water have that kind of Dre & Aftermath money to pull it off a ODB show probably of dat Coachella’s high quality !!!

Again 2Pac wasn’t the 1st hologram. Mariah Carey did like 3 at once. even she wasn’t the first one to do it… I swear if people start doing this shit on the norm, concerts and live performances will lose majority of their value. That’s one of the purest untouched portions of the music industry.

^@Mike, If you had to say it again then apparently nobody cared the 1st time. Obviously he wasn’t the 1st hologram. Mariah Carey is still alive last I checked, 2Pac isn’t, so for many people it was fascinating to see. Fuck off.

that 2pac hologram was awesome i would’ve liked to be there, and an ODB and Nate Dogg sounds dope too, but i still agree with Mike. I don’t think it would be dope if they used it too often with the same person

    And both interviews was great!
