I look at it [The Recipe] as one of them introduction singles, not like a single-single. I didn’t wanna jump out there with one of them big, over the top, crossover joints like that. I wanted to stick with what I’ve been doing. That song is not far from P&P, A.D.H.D. It’s still got that feel. I just wanted to warm it up. It’s exceeding expectations, which is a good thing, just to build up for the next record.
Not crossover being not from what I usually do, but just a big, big song. Still be me. That’s the best part. I think I found that balance and that fine line of still doing what I love to do.
