With the anticipation of “The Boombox Diaries Vol. 1 EP”, I find myself at a lost of words, it’s like Nitty Scott, MC, where have you been all these years? I have these feelings of excitement, yet I’m still optimistic when it comes to Nitty Scott having the full support of the music industry and listeners. Waiting for the release of this EP is like waiting on the next Lauryn Hill album hoping that this will move Nitty Scott forward and much closer together her movement that she has envision of herself and the people of the hip hop/rap community.

I promise. If Nitty wasn't CUTE AS HELL, she would be in the same box as Rapsody. Just another b-girl who can spit cute (Rap is eons better) and who reps "real hip-hop." The only reason this girl is moving forward past the others is because of her looks. Oh & Rap's "Idea of Beautiful" is more of a Lauryn Hill rap album (check her most recent interview).

Let’s be honest Nitty Scott has been out for awhile now and I think that if her looks had anything to do with her moving forward that would have taken place a long time ago. With two mixtapes under her belt Doobies x Popsicle Sticks, and The Cassette Chronicles one of the main reasons why she hasn’t moved forward is because people tend to pay more attention to negative elements when it comes to female rappers/MC’s, different body image issues and other false entertainment ideas that they lose focus on the context, concepts and lyrics of music. The whole image comment when it comes to these females is shallow and misused. Rapsody and Nitty Scott are in the same boat and until people really start to understand the messages that these two are trying to deliver we will have to keep hearing and seeing only Nicki Minaj.
