When I first saw Macklemore walk on the crowd during his performance at Soundset last year, I was instantly transported back years ago when I was a young Shake holding Method Man up by his kicks during a show in Vegas. Not saying Mack was jackin' (or even taking credit for) the "crowd walk" but it was just what my mind thought of when it went down. Apparently, the same thing happened to Method Man as he took time out during his 4/20 show in Denver to address Macklemore and tell the crowd he "started that shit."

I was watching MTV not too long ago and there was a rapper on stage. This motherfucker had a lot of energy and was really, really enjoying his performance. I think his name is Macklemore. Don’t get me wrong, that motherfucker can rhyme, but as I’m watching his performance, I seen this motherfucker do something that just pissed me off. He actually tried to walk onto the crowd’s hands.

I started that shit! That’s my shit! Don’t get me wrong, when Macklemore come to y’all city, y’all show him all the love that y’all show Red and Meth. But if that motherfucker tries to do my walk on the crowd thing, I want Denver, Colorado, to drop his ass like a bad habit.

Whatever the case may be, it's part of a great performance that both artists are known to put on. And we should all enjoy it, because there are some terrible live acts out there that are wasting our hard-earned money with each show.

This is really what Meth is wasting his time on? Who cares if he walked the crowd? Other acts have been doing it for years, why only speak on the most recent?

Haha. I don't care for Macklemore at all, but come on Method Man? Why even address this? Haha. Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, and Erykah Badu are three people off the top of my head who I know have done this. two of those names died before you were even making music and the other one came up in your era. this is why the legends always come off salty to the younger crowd.

Damn, Meth. I love Meth, can't fuck with Macklemore. But, c'mon, son! Where's the humility?

Maybe you should make some dope music Meth instead of talking about pointless shit like this.

Haven't heard anything good in years.

I remember Meth did this at a SF concert with Curren$y last year. He knows how to put on a show n hype the crowd!! WU-TANG CLAN AINT NUTHIN' TA FUCK WIT

God this is just like the hashtag flow beef. Its not like Macklemore is trying to say "I STARTED THAT SHIT." I love you Meth, but lay off the sodium.

This is some BS, love seeing Reggie & Meth together, LOVE seeing Redman wearing a Wu-Tang shirt, but Meth blew my hi with all that bitterness. Oh well, Wu-Tang is ALWAYS the clan!

I think yall are missing the point. When you put on a show, you have your routine and signature stuff. If someone else does it, its kinda like breaking a code of ethics.

I was there at that show and the writer forgot the last part Meth was speaking about... if an artist comes to your town and doesn't give you the energy and performance Meth and Redman do then boo them off the stage. Understand that day Meth and Red did TWO FULL PERFORMANCES and still had a ton of energy!! I've seen Meth and Redman @ Cervantes Denver before and Meth has spoken about being an originator... I've seen him speak about 'doing this before all the bling, hype-man... just him, Redman and a DJ on the 1's @ 2's. Some of you should know by now this is Meth's personality and all these years later is still underrated...

breaking a code of ethics? c'mon. the difference of crowd surfing and crowd walking is so minimal. method man is being a bit bitter here.

you do realize that countless other iconic artists have done this in the past as well though right? method man wasn't the "creator" of crowd walking.
