Kanye West, J. Cole & Mac Miller’s First Week Projected Sales Are…

blame it on Shake June 20, 2013

Whether you involve yourself in the hype surrounding first week sales or not, the fact is… a lot of people care. And while there were a lot of quality releases on June 18th (shouts to Statik Selektah, Mibbs and Madlib Lord Quas), Billboard has offered up their official sales projections for Kanye West’s Yeezus (360-380k), J. Cole’s Born Sinner (270-290k) and Mac Miller’s Watching Movies With The Sound Off (100k).

Obviously no concrete numbers will be in until next week, but the information above is sure to provide folks with more ammo during their inevitable debates with fellow hip hop heads. Also, if the numbers hold true and all three sell more than 100k, it will be the first time since November of 2006 that three hip hop albums debuted with that many sales. Another win for hip hop in general IMO.
