This project is definitely an improvement from his previous solo work. I’m not sure if it’s because he stuck to one producer – The Mighty DR – to craft the entire album or he just grew as an artist in general; probably a little of both. I personally believe albums turn out best when an a rapper/group collabs with a one producer/production team. Examples: Little Brother, Curren$y/Ski Beatz, A Tribe Called Quest, (Original) Slum Village, Clipse/Neptunes, MF DOOM/Madlib, MF DOOM/Danger Mouse, Gangstarr, De La Soul — and on and on and on . . . A couple of exceptions: Mos Def – The Estatic, Blu – Jesus & Kendrick Lamar – Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City

^^^Did you check out Fat Boy Fresh Vol 2? That was entirely produced by Astronote and it was incredible. Monster jams all throughout that album

  • Correction……. I slept with Katie too

Hopefully theres not too many of the ‘Overlooked-member’, ‘whoa is me’, ‘imma show them’ type songs. Also, the thinly veiled ‘im over Little Brother’ joints. Each one of his post Little Brother albums have been laced with these joints. Ironically, he had a solo on The Minstrel Show called “”Sincerely Yours”, where he states: This letter goes out to whoever want read it (whoever)
Please share it with the world cause I won’t repeat it (I won’t repeat it)……. Obviously he continued

@Dope , yep I have Vol 2. It is also good. Pretty much the whole Fat Boy Fresh series has been remarkable. I’m still salty about Little Brother though, but I guess I’ll (try to) get over it. It’s obvious that Pooh has grown a lot since then which is awesome. I wish him, Phonte & 9th the best.
