Brother Ali – Left In The Deck (Album Stream)

blame it on Shake September 5, 2013

Now this is dope! On the same day he hits the road with Immortal Technique, Brother Ali decided to go the extra mile and release a new project as well.

“Left In The Deck” is a collection of 10 raw, grimy recordings made in basements and hotel rooms around the world. This demo-tape style release was produced entirely by Jake One. It hasn’t been polished up for the market or cleaned for the radio. These songs were left in their original demo form and are intended only for my family of direct supporters. The beats are grimy and I feel like this is some of the best rhyming I’ve ever captured on tape. I want to release this directly to you.

A stream is available below w/ a download option coming with any purchase of Ali’s new “Cassette” shirt (available at Fifth Element and all War & Peace Tour dates).

Side A
Dial Tone
Grandma And Them

this is WAY doper than mourning in america. I just wasn’t feeling that album that much aside from a few bangers.

Love the tape. 10/10. Hopefully the folks @ RhymeSayers see the positive response the demo form is getting and decide to clean “Left in the Deck” for retail. I would definitely buy that.
