  • KING

Looking forward to 1,4,5. Especially 5. Isaiah Rashad doing the Cypher with his new labelmates ya bish!!!!

Plus I love the fact that Connor signed with Aftermath. Seems to be the only major label that knows what they’re doing with talented artists as of late.

  • Quickstrike

TDE vs Slaughterhouse basically. Just hope TDE takes it as serious as Slaughterhouse will.

  • sam

Skillz tweeted that Kendrick basically did Control part 2 in his freestyle, so that’ll be really interesting to hear.

  • Logan

Where’s Eminem?? TDE and Slaughterhouse cypher will be dope, wanna hear ASAP MOB as well.

  • koke

where the fuck is Chief Keef?

  • KING

^LMFAO this nigga just said “where the fuck is Chief Keef?”

  • OPP

Lookin’ forward to the TDE cypher, and to see: Rapsody, Jon Connor, Action Bronson, Chocolate Drop and Astro spit.

  • Kingd_760

Damn no freddie gibbs? He wouldve had the best verse…

  • BET needs to take thousand sit downs for that 6th cypher

  • Tired of stupid.

Fuck all these other rappers, Chocolate drop is king!!

  • AirMagicMamba

Cypher 6 got the best lyricsts

  • deeking

Agree with the gibbs comment other than that this should be a nice series of cyphers

  • wat

Why do they need to sit down for the Real House Husbands cypher? It’s clearly purely comedy and promotion for the new season of the show. Just for the laughs, nothing seriously obviously. But otherwise I’m actually impressed with the lineups this year. I wasn’t sure what else they could do but they took the easy route with having groups have their own cyphers lol. That means they only had to actually put thought into only three cyphers. Good luck in 2014 though, BET! lol

  • wat

Although I fuck with this year’s cyphers, it’s sad to see Freddie Gibbs, Asher Roth, Evidence, and Blu passed on for another year.

Plus this year should’ve had fresh faces like Logic, Dizzy Wright, Chance the Rapper, Vince Staples, Casey Veggies, etc.

One cypher that absolutely NEEDS to happen is a Roc cypher. Imagine how epic it’ll be with Jay-Z, Kanye West, J. Cole, Jay Electronica, and whatever member of the old Roc that’s still cool with Jay.

And lol, let’s not act like Odd Future doesn’t need a cypher. They’d all kill it. Refer to the song “Oldie”

The LOX need their own too.

And will someone please get a lineup that will make Nas finally do it!!!

Otherwise good shit this year, BET.

  • JAyP

I would love to see all those Cyphers @wat

& LMAO cant wait to laugh at this nigga Kevin Hart man!

  • wat

Word @JAyP. I hope someone from BET sees my comment lol

  • Swaggerooni

TDE CYPHER IS GONNA BE LEGENDARY! We all know slaughterhouse is gonna shut shit down! The real house husbands of Hollywood cypher is gonna be pure comedy….as for the rest eh….

  • Dutchboi

TDE & Slaughterhouse gonna kill it but A$AP Mob can defenitly spit so that’s gonna be dope too. Looks pretty good. I hope Travi$ Scott isn’t gonna imbarrass himself like he did with de XXL “Freestyle”.

  • Jarvo

Kendrick is gonna make Drake cry again? Lol

But no way in hell BET have Odd Future on there at all lol

  • hamza

    wish a oddfutur cypher

  • Synik

Travis Scott(don’t respect him enough to spell it correctly) is trash. This nigga is a producer-rapper. If he didn’t make beats, nobody would know who he is.

  • steez

@Synik and they said the same thing about Kanye. now look. i know you saw the zane lowe interview lol

  • J

    No Gibbs no care

  • CYPHER 5!

  • someguy

    holy shit – big wax!

  • Armd

Gibbs has been blacklisted and booted from the industry too many damn times for BET to give dude that platform…which is a shame because he’s the best rapper out imo

  • wat

Btw, A$AP Mob gave their cypher a hook lol

  • who cares

I really only want to hear 4 & 5. Then I’ll check out Bronson’s contribution.

  • Mac Dre

I hope A$AP Mob gets the Shook Ones beat too (rumor is TDE got it) and Ferg does his “Control” response verse that he did on Hot 97, but more cleaned up and on a national stage.

  • Pope Shippy

Damn almost didn’t notice Wax on 1. That’s whatsup

  • Other than the obvious 4 & 5 answers, #1 looks the best to me – although Action Bronson should lead off his grouping and I’ll stop watching before Kim makes her appearance.

  • Da Spaniard

They need to do another one with Gibbs and King Los.

  • SUP

They should have had a Beastcoast cypher with: Joey Bada$$, Kirk Knight, Flatbush Zombies and the Underachievers, and ofcourse some names are missing: Freddie Gibbs, Dizzy Wright, Earl Sweatshirt, Chuuwee, Vic Mensa, Chance The Rapper, Willie The Kid, ANTHM, Da$H, Tito Lopez ++

    • dave

word beastcoast my nigga!! niggas played them smh. could of had them and flatbush zombies

  • LA

  • wat

No way A$AP Mob will get the same beat as TDE. TDE is on a whole ‘nother level. Refer to Shady 2.0 getting their own beat and MMG having the same beat as every other cypher. You get what you deserve.

  • wat

@SUP: That’s way too large. A Pro Era one would’ve been cool but nobody else on Pro Era is even remotely close to being on so I understand BET not wasting their production money on a cypher for them. But I def agree about Gibbs, Dizzy, Chuuwee, and Chance. Earl and any other Odd Future member will probably never be in one because BET is probably scared of them being as vulgar as they always are.

@LA: You fool, they had their own cypher in 2010. Why do another?

  • J.Y

Damn I was just saying how it would be dope if TDE had their own cypher this year, and they got Slaughterhouse too?? Im def looking forward to these (and the one Bronson’s in of course).

  • J.Y

Oh and I agree, Gangsta Gibbs should’ve definitely been including this year, the man has been killin it.

  • J.Y

  • Da_Father

This is like a Spoof year for the BET Cyphers.. haha (except for the A$AP & Slaughter Crew)

  • wat

^ You said except for A$AP Mob but not TDE? Wow, eat a dick lol

  • Dre604

Logic, Chance, Dizzy, Gibbs, and Joey would have been dope. Those five could have done there own cypher which would have been dope. Maybe Dom Kennedy too

  • i was hopin they woulda had a GBE cypher :(

  • wat

^ The point of the cyphers is rapping lol

  • wat

BET says Noreaga is in the cypher this year but not one line up I’ve seen has him in it. Guess someone BET made a mistake and listed him on their site.

  • D Harrison

Excuse me but real talk every year they get the most cheesiest people to do these chyphers and they don’t have no real spitters. Slaughter house is nice but Why in the hell is King LOS not on the chypher like real talk this is crazy.. Los is one of the newest gifted lyricist in this generation and he has presences.. BET made a mistake and left some other great lyricists off the chypher this year to.

  • wat

^ Yeah, because they can have EVERYONE, EVERY year.
