A$AP Mob Deny Alleged Pro Era Beef, Talk New York Hip Hop & Method Man

blame it on Shake December 6, 2013

A$AP Ferg, Twelvy and Nast recently sat down with Peter Rosenberg and Ebro for Hot 97. During the couch session, the Mob members shut down rumors of a Mob/Pro Era beef that supposedly started after Nast dropped his “Trillmatic” video with Method Man.

The trio also speak on the Trinidad Jame$ madness, their idea of “New York hip hop,” break down “the science” of white women, enlisting Method Man on “Trillmatic” and getting Shabba Ranks on the “Shabba (Remix).”

They’re all a bunch of kids that are still stuck in the 90’s… this is 2013. They’re trying to make a name out of themselves from shit that was done already. Where’s the innovation… where’s the foreword movement?

It’s nostalgia. A new sound isn’t always a good sound, so why not work with something that has been successful in the past?
