It’s no secret that Top Dawg Entertainment had a “relatively quiet” 2013 since the label did not release any albums (but instead, signed two new artists in Isaiah Rashad and SZA, a handful of singles from each of their flagship artists, and received their first Grammy nominations, among other things). The rather reclusive head of TDE, Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, however, did take to the Twitter a few days ago to make a rather brief announcement on the label’s plans for the upcoming year:

We already know that ScHoolboy Q is slated to release his major label debut, #OXYMORON, on February 25th, and it’s also been reported that Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, and SZA have been working on their own respective projects, while Isaiah Rashad had mentioned releasing his debut mixtape before the year’s end. One can only wonder what, exactly, TDE will do this year (TDE/Black Hippy compilation? New signings? Establishing a new chicken and waffles restaurant to take down Roscoe’s?), but we’ll all have to wait and see.
