Kristoff Krane is currently working on an acoustic album called Moon Goddess. In an attempt to raise funds to help with expenses, the MPLS emcee released I Freestyle Life {2005-2013}. A collection of tracks he’s been a part of over the past eight years; including songs with Eyedea, Sage Francis, Slug (of Atmosphere), Illogic and many others.

I Freestyle Life has been my artistic statement for the last 8 years. In that time, I sharpened my philosophy, deepened relationships, implemented practices in my life that have helped me gain clarity on my artistic pursuits, and learned a lot of challenging lessons about patience and the importance of mindful attention. I created a lot of work in that time and had the opportunity to work with people that I deeply respect and hold in the highest light. I have also been fortunate to hold the attention of many forward thinking supporters, who have helped propel my artistic evolution. These people are the reason I decided to offer a retrospective of the last 8 years of my music. I am truly grateful for this path and for everyone and everything I experienced along the way.

Kristoff Krane: I Freestyle Life {2005-2013} has been an opportunity to shed dead skin while honoring the protection it gave me. It is not a best of. It is a time capsule. I will be using the proceeds from this retrospective to fund expenses of Moon Goddess, the upcoming acoustic record in the works.

On top of the previously released material, Kristoff also recorded a brand new cut for your listening pleasure. Check out “Aho” below and pick up I Freestyle Life via Bandcamp.
