The Chef recently phoned in to DJ Whoo-Kid’s show a few days ago, where off bat, the first question that came up was the collaboration he and JAY Z created. As some of you may recall, a photo surfaced last year of the two readying to hit the studio. Rae revealed the following about the song, which was indeed recorded:

I guess he tucked it and whatever, and I guess he got a plan or whatever. I don’t really know. I just know that at the end of the day, we still got things we discussing that we’re gonna make happen. I don’t know what happened with the record though. I know I guess he wanted to have Starks (Ghostface) on it too. You know how it is when you got your vision and you want it to be a certain way. It didn’t come fully into tuition [sic] (he obviously meant fruition).

On his upcoming F.I.L.A., he says he’s shooting for an early May release. The reason for the delay, he explains, is sample clearances and a general desire to give the fans a polished project. Later, he talks about the Kendrick Lamar and Macklemore’s GRAMMY situation and much more.
