If it is indeed a leftover, i can see why. Also, I would have rathered a Kanye verse instead....

    • drunkbear

i agree. ye would sound like a better fit on a track of this style.

      • marty mcfly

This song I will probably listen to about once or twice and thats about it. This is not really the kinda song I fuck with but I will say when it comes to Jayz, he's stays creative. Nobody has to like this song, shit I barely like the song but from a creative stand point? In the last year Jay has just been more creative then the majority of rappers (Picasso, Oceans, FUTW.... This etc) and thats even when he makes a song that aint that poppin. Artistically its still ore creative then whatever else is going at this time imo.

        • disqus_pyrGXaSTDx

Is music to be enjoyed or just admired?

          • marty mcfly

Enjoyed. Music is not just one thing or the other especially when you have a rapper that makes several different points within a song.

        • TheCatalyst

Saying Jay has been more creative that most rappers is making the best out of a bad situation. He's been slacking and all of those examples are average at best.

          • marty mcfly

If its average but still more creative then most rappers that would make the creativity in comparison below average then. Its like when people say MCHG is average? Ok then if its a better album then most the other rap albums out then average starts to sound real good then.

          • marty mcfly

Oh and its not just creativity. Jay picks better beats, write better songs and has better rhymes etc... Now you dont have to agree but at some point it takes a little bit of denial to not hear whats obviously above average.

        • treez69

true like Kanye his peak was MBDTF, Yeezus is pseudo-creative/artistic

  • hh_addict

    I like the tune...

  • biff tannen

Another snoozer of a verse from the business man formally known as the artist jay z

    • marty mcfly

Maybe if more artists paid attention to their business then the art in their artistry would standout more. Obviously the artistic side of this song was the main point of it.

    • marty mcfly

Oh and Jayz has always played both business man and artist which is why almost every song he makes is loaded with double entendres. Thats covering both bases lyrically and that in itself is artistic. Again, its not like im all into this song but on a creative level Jay stays moving forward.

      • disqus_pyrGXaSTDx

you stay making excuses for jay but for anyone else there's no excuses...

        • marty mcfly

Making excuses? Ok, I dont like the song that much and my excuse is I have no excuse for it. I simply do not like the song that much. However do I think its creative? Thats another matter... If your talking about my comments about him being a business man or an artist? My opinion is that he's both so is that an excuse or just a fact? Ok then

      • biff tannen

Someone needs to chop off your thumbs.

      • One

Is this post about music or Business?
is this song Good, aight or wack?

No need to nitpick something positive to say about Jay just cause even you didn't like this shit.

We all know jay is an incredible Businessman (and even if we didn't, i'm sure you'd remind us...)

And from a creative standpoint, there are artists that run laps around Jay nowadays (chance, ab soul, kendrick etc)

Fact is this song is weak and jays been very average for awhile now.

        • biff tannen

          Spot on sir, spot on.

        • marty mcfly

Chance, Soul and Kendrick running laps around JAYZ? LOL... From a creative standpoint? NO and that can be proven. Jayz had classics out before they was in high school so NO they not running no damn laps around Jayz.

          • One

So the fact that Jay Z dropped classics years ago guarentees that he still more creative than the mentioned artists today? Interesting...

Lets just objectively compare the artists current projects? WHO is really more creative? Come on fam, stop lying to yourself..

            Cake, cake cake cake cake...lol

          • marty mcfly

American Gangster is Classic and a more creative album then anything outta TDE. Watch The Throne, BP3 and MCHG are also better projects then Kendrick or Ab Souls projects. On a creative side, the song writing is better, the delivery is better and the meaning behind the songs are better. Songs like D.O.A, Already Home, Young Forever, Empire State, No Church For The Wild, Welcome To The Jungle, Otis, Murder To Excellence, Why I Love You, Holy Grail, Picasso, Oceans, FUTW, Somewhereinamerica, Crown, Heaven, Jayz Blue, Nickels And Dimes.... These are just better songs period. From the beats to the lyrics to the topics, to the delivery etc... Yes Jay Z has been more creative over the years then Kendrick, Ab Soul and Chance. Just cause some niggas could rap good doesn't mean the write better songs.

          • marty mcfly

And YES, the fact that Jayz has dropped classics does mean he's more creative then artists who have not dropped classics.

          • marty mcfly

When Kendrick and Ab Soul have become the number one rap artists in Hip Hop for over a decade and have released more then 5 classic albums and have released more then ten hugely successful albums that are not only commercially successful but LYRICALLY excellent albums then we can have a talk about who's more creative because for Jay to make almost 20 albums and each one has hits and hardcore lyrical purest records... THATS what you call creativity. Kendrick and Ab Soul been in the game for a few years now, compared to the first few years of Jayz rapping? There is no comparison really and we can take the success out of it. We can talk lyrics and song writing, Jay is the better artist and that has been proven to a degree that suggest it to be a solidified fact backed up by evidence. Good day sir

        • disqus_xpmwx1oUV3

Leave Chance out because he is nowhere near that level yet, neither is Ab-Soul or Kendrick for that matter.

  • Fidel Cash Flow

This track was recorded for the Tron soundtrack and is not co-produced by Kanye either. Do your research !

  • Kareem I’amKing Abdullah

The beginning of this beat sounds like the track "The Son of Flynn" from the movie "Tron Legacy". Naw Kanye, you didn't do this beat. As a matter of fact it is from that movie. They just tweeked it.

    C'MON JAY...

  • disqus_xpmwx1oUV3

The song should have been on that shitty album. Real talk this would have changed the mood of the album to boring mediocre funk to something that would have been hot, I also noticed the Tron track built within this song, and Jay doing what he does.
