Tryin’ to hustle up this money to pay K. Dot/The name Watts, like the shade of Jay Rock.

It’s been just over a year since Kansas City native Gee Watts made his first appearance here at 2DBZ. Making his debut with the Kendrick Lamar-assisted “Watts R.I.O.T.” from his Watts Up mixtape. Since then, Gee has been putting in work on the indie front and put together one extremely solid effort in 199x (Nineteen Ninety Never). Coming in at 14 tracks, the unsigned buzz-maker calls on D/Will, Stik Figa, Junia-T, DOM, Purpose and more for assistance. Stream the LP below and be sure to pick up your copy on iTunes.
