Mobb Deep - Eye For An Eye f. Nas, Raekwon & Ghostface Killah

This O.G. version of "Eye For An Eye" which features different verses from P, Hav & Rae is enough to justify copping the new double album from Mobb Deep. Not to mention, it features a verse from GFK!

You can stream the song below, while the album can be streamed here, copped digitally, or via Amazon.

Now I'm hoping someone puts these verses on the original beat.

Not better than the original, but wow this is incredible. It really tells you how much Prodigy's rhymes have deteriorated when a throwaway verse from '95 is better than anything he's spit in the past 15 years.

    • You listen to music, or do you just skim though it? Einstein he was dope on.

      • leutrim

Son, Albert Einstein isn't even in the same universe as The Infamous and Hell on Earth. Albert Einstein is decent, but the beats >>> the rhymes.

I think Prodigy's recent verses have been dope. His flow perhaps more appealing than his lyrics but still.
Check his features on 1,2,3 Grind w Lloyd Banks, Seven Series Triplets w Action Bronson and Call of Duty w Jay Elect.

Some verses are better than others, but in general Prodigy doesnt have the same voice, same mic presence and just his story-telling and threats have deteriorated.

Been saying this. P was top 3 mcs outta in NY at one point.

      • leutrim

I don't think he was ever top-3. Even then, Nas and Biggie were guaranteed top-3, but then you had Rae, Ghost, Gza, Meth all killing it from the Wu, AZ was hot, Pac, Jay, Andre 3000, Redman, Busta, Bun B, Snoop and a bunch of other rappers were killing it. It'd be hard to say P was top-3. Regardless, he was on point on every verse.

  • This that classic 1990's NYC rap shit!

  • Jordan

This is the beat used by Nas for Shootouts

  • ODM

I love Ghostface's abstract shit he was on back in the early days. Some of the most creative rhymes ever written even though I can't understand half of what he means.

  • FrancisNhamu

I wonder how many ways Prod can tell us what kind of heat his crew carrying. Been on that shit since '95
