JAY Z, Beyoncé & Solange Issue Statement on Elevator-gate

blame it on Shake May 15, 2014

By now everyone and their moms has seen the TMZ-leaked footage of Solange going Chun-Li on Hov in an elevator at the Standard Hotel in New York City. If not, you’ve definitely seen some of the hilarious memes that have surfaced because of it. Either way, the clip featured no audio and since we live in the internet-age, everyone decided to form an idea of what exactly happened.

Today, The Carters and Solange have issued an official statement, via APP.

As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.

The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false. At the end of the day families have problems and we’re no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We’ve put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same.

Now, can we please go about our business and quit trying to force ourselves into the personal lives of others? Cool.

Fuck that, I wanna see round 2.

  • james

Shake, y’all motherfuckers posted the shit, contributing to the very people you’re critiquing. Stop acting holier than thou

    • DXGIII

No, this is them letting the world know that they will never know what happened. The nail in the coffin.

      • Lorenzo Middleton

You may be missing the point of the posts above yours. They’re referencing Shake’s “Now, can we please go about our business and quit trying to force ourselves into the personal lives of others? Cool.?” comment. In other words, Shake is being a hypocrite.

    • Kev

For real.. If he really wanted to make a statement he wouldn’t of posted the fight in the first place.. Now he wanna act better than every one.

yeah bitch ass nigga Shake. FUCKOUTTAHERE

  • So..
That told us absolutely nothing. They could’ve kept that shit to themselves.

But I’d splash passionately up in between Solange’s thighs, tho. Any bitch that can throw down like that means they got a good, confident pussy game.

That’s some knowledge for you dumb niggas^

  • disqus_pyrGXaSTDx

    Shake actin like rosenberg

  • AngelXStrider

This was a clever response in my opinion. They addressed the issue but didn’t give the media ammunition to make it worse by telling what happened. Well done.

“The reports of Solange displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false.”

  • PatrickBateman

Exactly what we knew they would say. Even if brought up in interviews they’ll say ‘it was family business that we’ve moved past’.

  • Dante

Why are yall bitches hating on Shake??? What did he do to you but provide wou with shit that keeps yall typing in in ya browsers everyday?

  • Niggas need to chill on Shake. He’s not asking you to read his posts.
