The other day Common dropped one of the better songs of the year with “Kingdom” featuring Vince Staples. Now, we’ve finally got some more information on his forthcoming album Nobody Smiling.
Inking a new deal with longtime friend/collaborator No I.D’s Atrium Records (Def Jam), Com’s Nobody Smiling will be released on July 22nd.

I feel like a new artist because I created this album with the purpose to give back to my city and to the culture of hip hop. Also, in the wake of Dr. Maya Angelou’s untimely passing, Common also released an open letter yesterday expressing his love and admiration for our fallen angel.
