Back in September of last year, word got out that VH1 would begin working on an official Aaliyah biopic. Since then, nothing much has been revealed.
Until today.
According to Nicole Bitchie, Disney actress/singer Zendaya Coleman (pictured above) has been cast for the lead role and filming will begin in the next few weeks. An official announcement is said to be made shortly.
