so is this the first episode? or just a behind the scene look at the show

They completely screwed Cortez. T. Rex had a whole verse prepared. Cortez had no clue he’d be battling. Nobody could win in that situation just using generic written bars combined with actual freestyle and maybe some shit they tailored to the opponent in the couple minutes he had before he has to spit.

  • peaceofpi

Made it through a few minutes. Reality shows are corny no matter how you flip it. I’ll skip ahead for the battle that’s apparently there.

I feel the same way about reality tv, but this is better because who gets to see actual artist battle. so im tuning in to all of them

I’m glad T-Rex came in and did that Yes he had an advantage BUT its good to get these “EMCEES” ready for the unexpected. Pressure builds character BUT one emcee was already complaining cause he didn’t get a chance to pre-write FAIL lol, Man-Up and battle chump.

It was an impossible to win situation. If it had been T. Rex that had no time to prepare for a mystery opponent he’d have lost too. Anyone of them would have lost and nobody thought it was fare so what was the point. I don’t have a problem with a nigga complaining about not getting to pre write if the nigga he’s battling has had the opportunity to pre write. Don’t know if you’ve been following the scene much, but freestyle battles are largely extinct. This show is not about niggas freestyling

Man i love battle rap but im just not feeling this show, it seems too fake and shit, i get what they trying to do thats all good but its just not working in my opinion, i rather watch them battle on some grindtime shit. Hope it changes my perception after few episodes.
