With Kendrick Lamar‘s highly-anticipated follow-up to good kid, m.A.A.d city expected before the end of the year, the Compton emcee sat down with Rolling Stone to reveal a few bits of information.

According to K. Dot, gkmc could’ve been a 30-track album, as there was a ton of stuff left out from the story. He’s recorded songs since then that tie into the story he was sharing.

He also says he’s recorded “a bunch of tracks” with Dr. Dre (“He’s gone in the lab and tried to really elevate himself”) as well as TDE’s in-house crew Digi+Phonics.

Features have been kept to a minimum, and fans can expect a lot of “aggression and emotion” from Dot.
