After months of hard work and patience, Marion Write delivers his new album, Black Gold.

Over the years, the Vegas emcee has gifted fans with countless quality projects (To Love & Conquer, Goodness Gracious with DJ Finyl and Continuous Play 2 just to name a few), but Black Gold shines above the rest. As a fan, I’ve enjoyed seeing his growth as an artist and this project finds Marion at his best (so far).

Inspired by a collection of lost tapes by Jimi Hendrix bearing the same title, the LP is a conceptual mix of records that enlighten the life of the writer himself and the troubles and successes he endures. The culture of this album represents the hard working hustler who seeks prosperity by any means necessary while sustaining true life morals. Write is diverging the usual stigma for a lot of misunderstood individuals and believes that what you do to make ends does not reflect the genuine soul.

Led by past singles, “Light Up” and “Fade Away“, Black Gold features fellow Vegas natives Euroz and Reallionaire Jream, with production from DJ Finyl, Rikio Ito and SB.

Stream/download for free below, and if you like what you hear, show your support on iTunes. Or if a hard copy is more up your alley, a deluxe version with a bonus “Vegas State of Mind” shirt is available on MarionWrite.com.
