Fresh off linking with MindsOne for their Pillars EP, Kev Brown teams up with fellow Low Budget Crew member Hasaan Mackey for another collaborative project, That Grit.
Recording during a series of impromptu bus and train trips, the Landover, Maryland producer-on-the-mic and Rochester, NY emcee took the spontaneous approach, reflecting both Mackey’s freestyle background and Brown’s proven “random joints” formula. Entirely produced by Kev Brown, the project features Hasaan and Kev sharing mic duties, with bonus contributions from Kaimbr, yU (of Diamond District), Kenn Starr, Asheru, and more.
