I’ll say it once again: J. Cole is the hip hop’s 2014 Man Of The Year.

It was widely expected that his new album, the well-received 2014 Forest Hills Drive, would land atop the Billboard charts. Now, Hits Daily Double is reporting that the LP would have sold roughly 361,120 copies in its first seven days. Not only will it place above Taylor Swift’s platinum-seller 1989, but it will also set a new high for Cole (his previous, 2013’s Born Sinner, sold 297,000 copies in its first week) as well as be the highest-selling rap album of 2014. Backed by an innovative, highly personal, not-even-a-real-“promo-campaign” promo campaign, Cole has traveled around the country surprising fans at their homes, throwing a listening session at his childhood home, and – perhaps the most telling – marching alongside protestors in Missouri, New York and the like.

What more can be said but, congrats to the entire Dreamville family on this major accomplishment.

UPDATE: Final numbers are in. 371,228!
