The debut album from 50 Cent was a triumphant piece of violent nihilism from the mad mind of Curtis Jackson. With Columbia Records and a gunman proverbially – and literally – leaving him for dead years prior, 50 Cent returned with a new crew, a hungrier mind state and a new label in Shady/Aftermath. 2003’s Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ was his crowning achievement, a musical accomplishment he may never reach again. With him – as well as members of G-Unit, Sha Money XL, Paul Rosenberg and even Eminem himself – sitting down with Complex, they discuss the first of what would be many collaborations between he and Slim Shady, “Patiently Waiting.”
