We’d like to take the time out today to remember a legend who we sadly and unfortunately lost on Christmas Day, nine years ago when the 73 year old Godfather of Soul succumbed to congestive heart failure.

So as not to patronize anyone about his legacy, and what he has done for the Hip-Hop community and culture as a whole, I’ll save his backstory and accomplishments for another time. Or if you’re unfamiliar, you can always search Google, although his honorable benefactions are too great not to know about.

So instead, I’ll leave you with a few gems of Mr. Dynamite that have been personal favorites of mine, and hopefully you’ll enjoy them as well. Rest In Paradise to Soul Brother Number One, Mr. Please Please Please, King James Brown. We love you brother!
