To date, Brooklyn upstart Jay Bel has just one song under his belt (at least online). But that’s all he needed to peak my interest. Backed by some hypnotic Sedroc Nurse production, the under-21-year-old emcee is aware of society’s expectations and real life responsibilities on “Kate” – but he doesn’t care. He’s just living life at his pace and pursuing his own personal dreams the way chooses to do so. Peep the track and be sure to keep the kid on your respective “Artist to Watch” lists.
