Fresh off releasing The WinterFire EP with Grouch and CunninLynguists, Eligh returns with a new solo joint. Linking up with Bay Area production team AngorRepublic, “Victim” finds the Living Legend applying his signature flow to the minimalistic bounce provided by MkSmth, Daghe and Cal-A.
“I met Mike Smith from AngorRepublic on tour, and when I heard some of his beats I knew I had to get on some. I love his sound and his ears are pointed in the right direction. Some of my songs are written with purpose, but this one was just having fun and talking shit, my victims are all the people who give my music a chance, because once you open your mind to me, I got you! The video concept was from a friend and talented director, David Dutton, he went for a film noir look mixed with organic, tripped out effects. The video and song are eye and ear candy — something to please both senses.”
