Chicago was pretty poppin’ today while elsewhere, life seemed to crawl at a slow pace. During an event put on by Young Chicago Authors in collaboration with Louder Than A Bomb – a youth poetry slam festival turned film – Chance The Rapper provided an on-target beat-box while Mr. Jack Donaghy – yes, Alec Baldwin – spit a few bars. More specifically, a poem titled “Chicago” written by Carl Sandburg.
The Louder Than A Bomb 15 year anniversary also brought out Native Tongue Ali Shaheed Muhammad as well as actress Alfre Woodard. Watch a couple of clips below. Good to see Chance giving back to YCA, the organization that helped mold him.
