After a week of great music – including a new Kanye West single, Big Sean earning his first #1 album, and Jay Electronica’s return just to name a few – Kendrick Lamar tweeted out this simple message earlier today:

Which of course reveals the release date of Kendrick’s highly-anticipated, still-untitled album: Monday, March 23rd.
After winning his first two (long overdue) Grammy Awards in February, K. Dot set the music world ablaze with the incendiary single, “The Blacker The Berry” – which led to speculation that his highly-anticipated sophomore album was on the horizon. Now, with this iTunes semi-confirmation, the new LP – which will contain sixteen tracks including the aforementioned “Blacker” – seems to finally be on the way, just as the season of Spring hits the globe.
Kendrick will also be headlining a few festivals in the near future as well: ESSENCE Fest, Wireless Festival, Sasquatch Festival, and Bonnaroo (with more surely to be announced later).
