In the wake of the controversy University of Oklahoma and Sigma Alpha Epsilon is currently swimming in, John Forté records “Dawn,” expressing his thoughts on the events that transpired.
For those who are/were unaware (including myself), two members of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity were expelled from University of Oklahoma for leading a racist chant. All of the bigotry was captured on video, and some of the audio is used in the beginning of John’s new track. With his face splattered across multiple news outlets, it’s gonna be quite hard for this guy to go into hiding. Then again, it doesn’t really matter, because white privilege.
