NPR’s Microphone Check – hosted by Ali Shaheed Muhammad (of A Tribe Called Quest) and Frannie Kelley – welcomed Fergenstein recently. During his hourlong stay with them Ferg spoke on “spoke about his aesthetic choices, the way he imagines our far off future and what he’s learned from Missy Elliott.”
Missy’s influence could explain the newer sounds he’s been flirting with, as heard all throughout his Ferg Forever mixtape and recent feature on Meek Mill’s “B-Boy.”
