Now, here is something Shake and I have been waiting on for a very long time.
We here at the DopeHouse are unabashed Stanleys of the music of Faheem Rashad Najm, better known by his stage name T-Pain. While we’ve anxiously waited for the release of his oft-delayed album Stoicville (both “Up Down” and “Drankin’ Patna” still get heavy play around these parts), we were pleasantly surprised when he announced the release of a new, DJ Drama-reared mixtape.
Today (March 27th) is finally the day that The Iron Way drops, and judging from the previous releases (as well as the cuts I’ve heard during his listening session this week) the project is shaping up to be an incredible experience. On top of Kardinal Offishall, OG Maco, The-Dream, Audio Push and Aaliyah, T-Pain has also enlists Big K.R.I.T., Bun B, Yo Gotti, Snootie Wild, Lil Wayne and a few others for his 21-track effort.

* At the moment the Aaliyah song, “Girlfriend,” isn’t on the tape. That’s very disheartening, as it was one of the best songs I’d heard at the listening session. Hopefully that changes sooner than later.
