It’s been an uphill climb for Troy Ave‘s rap career. The Brooklyn talent has come a long way from his Harry Powder days and has continually built a steady buzz throughout the years, culminating in the release of his debut album New York City: The Album in 2013. That work ethic has garnered him cosigns from the likes of Rick Ross, Jeezy, Snoop Dogg and others, each who will be featured on his upcoming sophomore album Major Without A Deal.

With a due date of June 5th, Troy will officially drop the album – via B$B Records/EMPIRE Distribution – a few short days after his SummerJam 2015 performance. With singles like “Doo Doo” and “All About The Money” receiving attention, as well as long-standing rumors that he has signed to T.I.‘s Hustle Gang label, will this be the project that puts Troy over the top? We shall see.
