Ladies & Germs, Here Are Your 2015 BET Awards Nominees

BET’s annual Fish Fry Awards show will converge upon the city of Los Angeles next month (June 28th, to be exact). So denizens of Southern California can expect the usual foibles of a BET event: a week chock full of celebrity-hosted parties, an increase in unnecessary police attention, financial precipitation at the various local strip clubs and perhaps a fight or seven.

Sounds like fun, right?

Either way, Viacom’s longtime pet project has unveiled the nominees for their awards ceremony, with Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown notching six nominations each. Even Azealia Banks – who has since criticized the BET Awards – is ironically up for one as well. The true shocker is that both Mary Mary and Yolanda Adams aren’t nominated for any gospel-related awards this year. Who knew that BET knew that there were other gospel singers in the first place.
