If you lasted the better part of the two-and-a-half years without hearing a song by Disclosure (more specifically, “Latch” ft. Sam Smith), then you probably were not a living soul. If that’s so, then it’s a surprise you’re reading this. But nevertheless, the British house-pop duo are back with another song to rock your brain back and forth in your skull in a non-concussing way with “Holding On” featuring Gregory Porter.

“Holding On” is the first single off the duo’s upcoming album that doesn’t have a name yet. Contrasting Disclosure’s biggest hit, “Latch,” it’s much more subtle it it’s groove with with no peak of the production. Gregory Porter’s deep vocals bring ride the waves and bumps of the production, adding to its head-bobbyness. (This isn’t a word; I’m aware.) I hope this statement doesn’t take any justice away from it, but this is a song I imagine would be playing while I, in-slow-motion, drunkenly walk up to the girl of my dreams in a club, then we dance to it in a way as if it were pre-choreographed or something. The beauty of music is it creates different images in all of our heads, and that’s mine.

Listen to “Holding On” below, and stay tuned for more updates on Disclosure new album.
