Christian Rich, the producer duo behind bangers like Drake’s “Pound Cake” and Childish Gambino’s “Crawl,” announced today it will release an album, FW14, on August 21 (which is eons away in the rap world). Along with the announcement, we get the album’s first single, “Fast Life” featuring JMSN.
Contrary to the song’s name, “Fast Life” starts slow and melodic with JMSN higher octaves singing over the synthesizers and heavy bass drums about a struggling love interest. Once JMSN completes his message, the production switches to a more uptempo, tribal-sounding, Pharrell-influenced environment, one more true the song’s name, with layered string instruments pulling everything together.
