Jhené Aiko Remembers 2Pac, Pays Homage With Photos

Jhené Aiko was only eight years old when 2Pac tragically passed on September 13th, 1996, but like most Los Angelenos his cultural influence is as impactful as people twice her age. Unabashed in her appreciation and idolization of the fallen rapper/actor, she regularly covers his songs at her concerts, with his “Keep Ya Head Up” being her favorite song from him.

Speaking once again with her grocery shopping buddy Rob Markman of MTV, she opens up on his impact, how much of an effect the documentary Tupac: Resurrection has on her, and much more.

She also recreated three seminal photos of the rapper – the cover to his 1996 album All Eyez on Me, the cover to his 1998 Greatest Hits compilation, and his infamous bathtub photo with David Lachapelle – which you can check out below.
