Kane Mayfield – “The Just Blaze Record”

Way back in February, Just Blaze – seemingly out of nowhere – decided to drop a “loosie” titled “Moleskin Conclusion.” The cinematic song had a very familiar vibe to it on first listen, and that was because, according to Just, “it was supposed to be the conclusion to “Dear Moleskine” by Jay Electronica.

After releasing it, Just kindly asked that any rapper who wanted to spit over the instrumental – and we quote – “write your own tale of depression and eventual redemption! Best of luck!”

Kane Mayfield ended taking him up on that offer, albeit a few months later. You can stream the result of that below, which is rocking. Kane originally wanted to name it “Flux Capacitor” but kept it fairly simple. Personally, I like the name “Flux Capacitor” as a song title.
