Easily the second-most successful Jackson following her late brother Michael, Janet Jackson has remained out of the spotlight following her brother’s tragic passing in 2009 (something that the entire music world hasn’t fully recovered from, much less the Jackson family). However as one of the most influential and genre-defining musicians of all time, her loyal fans has been patiently awaiting her return, and have undoubtedly been ecstatic to find out that not only will she embark on a world tour in 2015 (kick-starting things with a performance at the 2015 BET Awards) but she will release an accompanying new album – her first since 2008’s Discipline – as well.

Both titled Unbreakable, the album (which is tentatively slated to release on her own Rhythm Nation imprint) will feature Janet working once again with the duo who helped curate her pivotal soundscapes: Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. She has now unveiled the first single from the album, a three-minute manifesto of lust and passion that only raises expectations for Ms. Jackson’s (if you’re nasty) imminent return. Listen below.
