The Alchemist has always been one of my favorite producers out. Working with many of my favorite artists, Al is only second to DJ Premier in my personal list of best beatmakers alive (with Pete Rock, Timbaland, and The Neptunes – not Pharrell, The Neptunes – bringing up the rear). On July 10th Alan the Chemist will release Retarded Alligator Beats, a collection of instrumentals he crafted between May 3rd and July 7th of 2013. He’s unveiled another piece of that puzzle, which you can check out below.
Retarded Alligator Beats serves as a warmup to the new Gangrene album You Disgust Me, which will drop August 7th.
